Dear Neighbors –

The board is very excited about the use the new swing additions are getting in the play facility area.   Very shortly the new cover will be added to the old play facility and landscaping will be added around the edges of the jump zone of the swings.   Next year’s budget will also include some additional trees along the street to buffer the play facility from the street view.

We want to take the time to thank Hillsborough County for the grants we received to make these additions possible.   Our next enhancements include the planting of trees behind the cypress trees by the retention pond behind the Beagle Run residences.    This will significantly increase the privacy for these residents and increase the property values of those homes.  Once again we have received grants for both the irrigation and trees substantially offsetting the cost of this project.

Just a short note to remind everyone the playground is currently closed for the improvements we are making.  

In addition, please dont forget about our first annual neighborhood cleanup event this weekend.  Meet on Sunday at noon by the Gazeboo.    Neil Roberts will be coordinating the efforts of the cleanup team.

Anticipated installation date for the swing set is January 19. The park will be closed from the 19th-23rd approximately for installation and drying.

There is no date for the installation of the shade structure at this point.   More to be posted in the January newsletter.

The water department reports that it may be 2 – 3 hours prior to restoration of service.

The books and records of Tree Tops were audited for the year ended 06-30-2010.   The neighborhood received confirmation that the books and records were in conformity with generally accepted accounting principals and that the records are accurate.   If you would like to read the full opinion, it is attached here in pdf format: IMG

Today the board held a programming class with FCAM.  Teri at FCAM is now fully up to speed on how to program the gate and in addition, the board members documented the steps needed to complete the routine maintenance of the gate to prevent further training expenses.   FCAM will be able to make all changes going forward.   This includes special requests for codes for private parties.

At the same time changes were made to the times the gate opens and closes.  The gates will be open from 6am = 9am and from 4pm to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday and be closed at all other times.   Saturday times have remained the same and the gate will be open 8am – 12pm.  

As stated in the newsletter the Santa Parade is this weekend.   The gate cannot open twice on Saturday so for THIS Saturday only the gate will be open from 8am – 7pm.
